Community Infrastructure Levy or CIL – spending

‘Town and parish councils receive their CIL allocation twice a year, in April and October.  For details how town and parish councils can spend their CIL allocation and if there are funds due in the next payment schedule, please contact infrastructureclaims@southandvale.gov.uk .’

We take a small percentage for costs of administering the levy, give a percentage to the local parish councils where the development is located and the rest goes towards the infrastructure projects.

You can download our new CIL spending strategy, which was updated on 1 April 2021, which sets out how the money will be allocated.

From 2019/20, the council is required to publish an annual infrastructure funding statement.  These can be found here:

You can also view individual town and parish council monitoring reports.
