Your bins

Update for August 2022

Very high temperatures may slow our waste collection crews down and on particularly hot days they might be unable to complete their rounds

What to do

If all the bins you street or area are not emptied on your usual day please leave your bins out for two days after your scheduled collection day (including the weekend) and we’ll aim to catch up. If that is not possible, please bring the bins back in and we’ll empty them next time they’re due.

August bank holiday collections

Please remember we empty the bins a day later than usual after a bank holiday.

Mon 29 August to Tues 30 August
Tues 30 August to Wed 31 August
Wed 31 August to Thurs 1 September
Thurs 1 September to Fri 2 September
Fri 2 September to Sat 3 September

  • We collect your food waste every week in the green food bin.
  • We collect recycling and non-recyclables fortnightly – recycling from your green wheelie bin one week, non-recyclables from your black wheelie bin the next.
  • We also collect garden waste. This is an optional paid-for service.  It is usually collected in the same week as your recycling unless we advise otherwise.

If you are a sack customer you can download your annual collection calendar by visiting our dedicated sack customer webpage.

We will post regular updates about any disruptions on Twitter and Facebook. You can also call us using the contact details at the bottom of the page.
