Wheatley Neighbourhood Plan

Wheatley Parish Council is working on creating a neighbourhood plan to influence the way their area grows and develops into the future. If made, the neighbourhood plan will form part of our development plan, which we use to make decisions on planning applications.

What’s happening now? 

On 6 May 2021 residents voted for the adoption of the Wheatley Neighbourhood Plan. The official results were:

  • Votes in favour of adopting the neighbourhood plan (YES vote): 1359
  • Votes against adopting the neighbourhood plan (NO vote): 189
  • Turnout: 42.79%

Following the publication of the Decision Statement (above), the Wheatley Neighbourhood Plan can be given significant weight in decision-making.
