A tale as old as time opens at Cornerstone Arts Centre this December 

This Christmas, Polka Dot Pantomimes brings the magical family classic Beauty and the Beast to Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot opening on Thursday 18 December. 

Audiences will enjoy dazzling sets, glittering costumes, toe-tapping musical numbers and plenty of festive fun as Belle, the Beast and a host of colourful characters take to the Didcot stage. The cast includes Izzy Double as Belle, Craig Plant as Prince Lucian, Emily Oakes as Grimalkin, Joshua Chandos as Dolly Doughnut, Daniel Noah as French Franc, Phil Towers as Maurice and Daisy Anna-Locke as Fairy Fabulous. 

Darren Maddison, Company Director of Polka Dot Pantomimes, said: “We are thrilled to bring this much-loved story to Cornerstone. Audiences can expect magic, humour and heart, everything that makes pantomime such a cherished Christmas tradition.” 

Cllr Georgina Heritage, Cabinet Member for Communities at South Oxfordshire District Council, which owns the venue, said: “Cornerstone’s pantomime is a festive highlight, and this year’s show promises to be truly spectacular for families across the district.” 

As part of Cornerstone’s commitment to accessible theatre, there will be a Relaxed and BSL Signed Performance, along with a free Touch Tour, on Sunday 28 December so that even more audiences can enjoy the festive magic. 

Beauty and the Beast runs from 18 to 31 December 2025. Tickets are available via the Cornerstone website or Box Office.
