Do you need planning permission? Get an expert’s advice
If you are planning building works or improvements to your home but don’t have time to check if you need planning permission on the Planning Portal – or you would just prefer to get the advice of an expert – we can help.
For just £54.00, we will have a look at what you are planning and let you know if we think you need permission. Here’s what you need to do:
- Fill in this form to explain what building works you are planning to do.
- Send your completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be in touch with your application reference number, which you can use to pay here online, or over the phone by calling our customer service team on 01235 422600. Alternatively, you can submit your form with a cheque for the £54.00 fee, made payable to South Oxfordshire District Council, to the Planning Department – address at the foot of this page.
Once we have received your payment, we will check the information you have provided on your form and let you know if we think you need planning permission. We will contact you if we need any more information.
- This is not a planning application – it is just a way of finding out if you need to make a planning application or not.
- The advice we provide is just a professional opinion and should only be treated as a guide – if we suggest you don’t need planning permission, this advice will not protect you from planning enforcement action if it turns out you do need planning permission. If you want a formal document saying you don’t need permission, you need to apply for a Lawful Development Certificate.
