Improving Skills Course – February 2026

We have partnered with Abingdon & Witney College, National Careers Service, Enterprise Oxfordshire, DWP (Department for Work and Pensions), UKAEA (UK Atomic Energy Authority), Williams Jet Tenders Ltd, and Community Catalysts to launch a new, FREE 7-week Improving Skills Course for over 19’s* – especially tailored for Berinsfield residents.

The course will launch in February 2026 and is part of a wider Oxfordshire programme to make the county a healthier and more equitable place for all. For Berinsfield, this means making more practical skills, professional training and further education opportunities available within the village so that residents do not need to rely on public transport for access.

So whether you want to upskill, gain knowledge about setting up your own business, prepare yourself to get back into the work place and more, please take a look at our course and see if there is anything you’d like to register for.

Most of the modules will be in person and take place at Williams Jet Tenders in Berinsfield on the Vogue Business Park, OX10 7LN from 6.30-8.30pm. Module 3 will be online.

There are more details on the Abingdon & Witney College website and you can email them at TheBerinsfieldProject@abingdon-witney.ac.uk with any questions.

*If you are 18 and interested in any of the modules, please do contact the College who can advise if there are any that you can attend.

Berinsfield Welcome Sign

Thank you to everyone that came along to our drop in event with local artist Jo Acty to see the first design ideas for the new Welcome Sign.

We’re working through your feedback and Jo is speaking to those who couldn’t attend on the 27 January.

We will then present the design ideas to the Parish Council who will make the decision on the final design.

If you have any feedback on the design ideas you can email BerinsfieldGV@southandvale.gov.uk
