Community Grants for 2024/25

We will open new rounds of the Everyone Active, Capital and the Councillor Community Grant Schemes this year. We are currently updating our funding guidance prior to launching these schemes. Please look out for further updates on this page.

Everyone Active Grant Scheme – opening end of May

Do you have a project that could improve the health and wellbeing of our residents or provide a high-quality active opportunity in one of our communities? We have a budget of £50,000 to support communities to become more active and sustain activity.

Capital Grant Scheme – opening in July

Are you a voluntary or community organisation looking for funding towards capital projects that help to build thriving communities and improve the quality of life for the residents in the district?

If so, we are keen to fund projects that; improve economic and community well-being, provide infrastructure that meets local need, that protect and restore our natural world; and take action on the climate emergency.

Councillor Community Grant Scheme – opening in August

Is your organisation looking for funding for a small capital project, or a one-off revenue project? Each South Oxfordshire district councillor has £5,000 to award to projects or services that offer community benefits in their ward area, budget permitting.  We are particularly keen to fund projects of greatest impact for residents, such as activities that protect and restore our natural world, promote action on the climate emergency and improve economic and community well-being.

Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Grant Fund

Expression of Interest (EOI) stage has now closed.

South Oxfordshire District Council collects CIL funding from liable housing developments to provide infrastructure required to support the growth of the district. Through this pilot grant scheme, we’re helping local organisations to access funding to deliver infrastructure for their community required as a direct result from local growth.

Fund for nature recovery projects – open

Do you have a project that could increase biodiversity and encourage public access to green spaces in the district. We have a fund of £50,000 to support community nature recovery projects.
