Wallingford Neighbourhood Plan

Wallingford Town Council is working on a neighbourhood plan. The process empowers local communities to help direct and shape the way their area grows and develops into the future. A neighbourhood plan will form part of the development plan, which helps to determine planning applications.

What’s happening now?

The publicity period on the draft plan concluded on 11 August 2020. The draft plan documents and comments received during the publicity period have now been submitted for independent examination.

Mr Andrew Ashcroft has been appointed by the district council to carry out the examination. The examiner's role is to make recommendations on the draft plan, and ultimately if the plan should proceed to referendum.
