Shiplake Neighbourhood Plan

Shiplake Parish Council is working on a neighbourhood plan. The process empowers local communities to help direct and shape the way their area grows and develops into the future. A neighbourhood plan will form part of the development plan, which helps to determine planning applications. 

What's happening now?

Shiplake Parish Council (as a relevant body) has submitted an application to South Oxfordshire District Council to revise the boundary of their neighbourhood plan area designation.  The new proposal follows the parish boundary.

The original designation, which was determined on 25 July 2017, will remain valid until South Oxfordshire District Council determines this application.

A consultation was open for six weeks between 1 February and 15 March 2019.

We are reviewing the responses received and will soon determine the application to designate the area, which may be subject to alterations if required. Keep an eye on this page, which will be updated as soon as a decision has been made.
