What happens to my enquiry?

Within 5 working days of receiving a request, we will contact you by phone or in writing to confirm that the formal pre-application advice route is the most appropriate.  If it isn't we will tell you what alternative processes are available.  If the pre-application process is applicable, we will also advise you if you have provided enough information.  A  planning officer will also be assigned to handle your enquiry.  This person will be the case officer and primary point of contact.  They will be responsible for all stages of the process.

For particularly large and/or complex schemes, the process may take longer and need more than one meeting.  In these cases, the case officer will contact you and agree an appropriate response date and procedure for handling your enquiry.
