SO Charitable Lottery
Our Council is working to set up a new online community lottery in spring 2018 to help support good causes in South Oxfordshire.
We give around £1.5 million through grants to the district’s voluntary and community groups each year and know that there’s great demand for financial support.
The SO Charitable Lottery will operate on the principle of raising money in the community, for the community – empowering local groups to generate vital funds in an effective way, while enabling players to support the causes they want.
We are currently applying for a licence and inviting good causes to get registered as beneficiaries.
Once it’s up and running, tickets will cost just £1 and there’ll be a weekly online draw with the chance to win prizes, ranging from free prize draw tickets to a £25,000 jackpot.
From each £1 ticket bought, 60p will go to local good causes and into the community. Players will be able to choose which cause they support when they purchase tickets.
