Warborough and Shillingford Neighbourhood Plan
The Warborough and Shillingford Neighbourhood Plan became part of the Development Plan on 4 October 2018 and carries full weight in the determination of planning applications. On 11 October 2018 it was agreed to be made and that it should continue to be part of the development plan. The plan covers the period up to 2033.
The parish council are undertaking a review of the Neighbourhood Plan.
What’s happening now?
Following the independent examination of Warborough and Shillingford Neighbourhood Plan Review, the district council has decided that the plan should proceed to referendum. The referendum will take place on Thursday 5 February 2026.
To vote you must be registered to vote in local elections by Tuesday 20 January and live in the referendum area. Make sure you register to vote if you haven’t already.
If you want to vote by post and are not already a postal voter, you will need to apply online at www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote or complete an application form and send it to the Electoral Registration Officer to arrive by 5pm on Wednesday 21 January 2026 at the address below. If you can’t get to the polling station and don’t wish to vote by post, you may be able to vote by proxy. If you want to vote by proxy, you will need to make an application at www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote or complete an application form and send it to the Electoral Registration Officer to arrive by 5pm on Wednesday 28 January 2026 at the address below.
