Chalgrove Neighbourhood Plan

The Chalgrove Neighbourhood Plan became part of the Development Plan on 22 November 2018 and carries full weight in the determination of planning applications. On 20 December 2018 it was agreed to be made and that it should continue to be part of the development plan.

The parish council is currently undertaking a review of the plan.

What’s happening now?

Chalgrove Parish Council is working on a neighbourhood plan review which has recently been submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council. If adopted, the reviewed plan will replace the Chalgrove Neighbourhood Plan adopted on 20 December 2018.

The publicity period on the submitted neighbourhood plan review concluded on Wednesday 11 June 2025. The draft plan documents and comments received during the publicity period have now been submitted for independent examination.

Andrew Ashcroft has been appointed by the District Council to carry out the examination. The examiner’s role is to make recommendations on the draft plan review. Take a look at the Examination Arrangements.

The examiner has issued a Clarification Note setting out initial comments on the submitted plan review and outlining areas where further clarification would be useful.
