Did you know that nappies take up to 500 years to decompose - so every nappy ever used is still in landfill. Given that an average baby needs about 4,500 nappy changes from birth to potty training, that is a lot of nappies!

Bad for the environment

Disposable nappies currently make up about four per cent of all household waste. A year's worth of disposable nappies from Oxfordshire alone, for example, would fill Oxford's Cornmarket Street to a height of 10 metres!

Benefits of real nappies

Aside from being good for the environment, there are many benefits to using real nappies. They can work out cheaper and can be kinder to your baby's skin, as they are chemical free.
