Oxfordshire County Council – Adult Social Care Precept 2018/19

The district council is required under current legislation to provide a breakdown on the council tax bills to show the Adult Social Care (ASC) precept from Oxfordshire County Council.  The format of how the breakdown is displayed on council tax bills is prescribed by Government and is shown as an accumulative sum (since the precept was introduced).

For 2018/19 the maximum overall precept increase allowed by Oxfordshire District Council is 5.99%, broken down as 2.99% for general county increase and the maximum 3% allowed for ASC. Therefore, the 3% increase relating to ASC bears no direct relevance to the ASC amount paid last year; and, as mentioned above, the ASC figure provided on the bill is an accumulative sum (unlike all the other precepts shown on the bill, which purely relate to the 2018/19 year only).

Details of the calculation are available in the downloads section of this page.  For further information or any queries regarding ASC please contact Oxfordshire County Council Oxfordshire County Council This link will take you to an external website...
