Towards the end of May, we are carrying out a major piece of planned essential maintenance work on the council’s IT systems. This work is unavoidable and has to take place in order to secure the future of our IT system and the services it enables.

Wallingford bathing season opens this week
This week sees the start of the bathing season in England, and this means that from 15 May, regular tests will be carried out on water samples from the River Thames at Wallingford throughout the summer.

We are obviously disappointed at the news that the water at Wallingford Beach has received a ‘poor’ rating for this year by the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in its recent report on Bathing Water sites which was released this week.
