Everyone Active grant scheme – opening end of May

The scheme aims to improve the health and wellbeing of residents and the role we play in providing high quality active opportunities for our communities to contribute to tackling inactivity and addressing the inequalities that challenge our society.

How much is available and what for?

Organisations from the voluntary sector are invited to apply for grants up to a maximum of £1,000 for each application for projects that benefit more than one individual resident of South Oxfordshire becoming active or sustaining activity to groups of residents in South Oxfordshire.

We can fund up to 100 per cent of the total cost of a project and it must be completed within 12 months of the award decision.

You can apply for revenue costs or capital items, with a maximum total project cost of £5,000. Appropriate applications could include buying leisure/sports equipment; introducing new or improving physical activity projects; a training course or gaining coaching qualifications to upskill volunteers in improving physical and mental wellbeing; projects promoting greener ways of travelling and setting up or improving a community/sensory garden or orchard.

We also recommend applicants to consider the climate and ecological implications of their project. This may include the use of sustainable materials or other climate-friendly options to reduce energy use where appropriate.

We encourage all applicants to make their projects as inclusive and accessible to all as possible.

Please read our Funding Guidelines for further examples of the projects we can fund.

For ideas of what previous grants have funded, please refer to our list of grants below:

This is a rolling programme. Applications will be assessed and awarded as received. The scheme will close once all the budget is spent.
