Community Led Housing Fund
How can we help?
Starting a community-led housing project can feel challenging. We offer practical advice, guidance and grant funding to help your group develop from an initial idea through to becoming an established organisation.
Early Support Grant (up to £2,000)
The early support grant is available for groups that are exploring the possibility of starting a community-led housing project. It can be used to cover a variety of costs, including:
- Membership to national organisations
- Consultation
- Publicity material
- Housing Needs Surveys
Business Development Grant (up to £10,000)
The business development grant is available to those who have already decided upon the type of community led housing they want to develop. To be eligible, your group should:
- Have decided on the type of community-led housing you want to deliver
- Have an established steering group
- Be ready to become formally incorporated
- Have a clear vision for the project
- Have identified potential land or development opportunities
- Have developed a project plan and undertaken relevant training
