Some key decisions of the council are made by the Cabinet. The leader of the council is Cllr Sue Cooper. The council also has a Chair whose role also includes representing the council at events throughout the year.
Other decisions of the council are made by a series of committees.
We are currently conducting council committee meetings online via video conferencing.
Councillors will use Microsoft Teams to take part in meetings and you can watch the proceedings online using a link we will publish on the meeting agenda pages of our website five days prior to the meeting.
You can find the meeting agendas page by clicking on the meeting name in our Calendar of Meetings.
To watch a meeting, please visit the agenda page and click on the video link – this will be made available five days prior to the meeting.
We are currently testing a way to allow the public to take part in our online meetings. In the meantime, if you would like to take part in a meeting you will need to submit a statement or question by email in advance – it will then be sent to councillors before the meeting.
For your contribution to be included you must email it to firstname.lastname@example.org by 12noon two working days before the meeting – you will then receive an email confirming the meeting details and a link to the video so you can watch the live proceedings.
