Air quality – monitoring and taking action

We monitor air quality and will act if we notice any problems. Vehicle emissions in towns and villages tend to be the cause of the biggest problems in a rural area like ours.

Taking action in local areas

All current and historic information on air quality across our district and the whole county can be found on the Oxfordshire air quality website.

To address the air quality issues in our district, we have published an air quality action plan that gives details on how air quality issues can be tackled by working with local communities to make a difference.

If you’re a developer and would like more information on our guidance on air quality, you can find more information on our planning pages here.

If you need more information or advice about an air quality issue, please get in touch with our Environmental Protection Team using the details below.

Find out more about our Turn It Off campaign which aims to improve air quality through cleaner driving.
