We will charge the costs of carrying the duties, as listed below, under the Private Water Supplies Regulations 2016/ Private Water Supplies (amendment) Regulations 2018 to those responsible for the supply.
Where part of a shared supply is used by some commercial activity, e.g. bed and breakfast, pub, camp site, the charges may be divided between the commercial and non-commercial properties proportionally.
A breakdown of our charges in respect of private water supplies are below, along with the maximum fee allowed to be charged under the regulations.
£426 – New risk assessment. Risk assessments will be carried out every five years.
£252 – Risk assessment review. Risk assessments will be carried out every five years.
£140 – Sampling visit (regular) or sample investigation/retest.
£207 – Complex investigation. Carried out in the event of a failure that requires more extensive sampling.
Sampling analysis Laboratory fees
£117.60 + £25 – Regulation 9 Supplies – courier cost plus any other parameters identified during the risk assessment.
£12.50 + £25 – Regulation 10 Supplies: courier cost plus any other parameters identified during the risk assessment.
