Warborough and Shillingford Neighbourhood Plan

The Warborough and Shillingford Neighbourhood Plan became part of the Development Plan on 4 October 2018 and carries full weight in the determination of planning applications. On 11 October 2018 it was agreed to be made and that it should continue to be part of the development plan.

The parish council are undertaking a review of the Neighbourhood Plan.

What’s happening now?

Warborough and Shillingford Parish Council is working on a Neighbourhood Plan Review which has recently been submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council. If adopted, the reviewed plan will replace the Warborough and Shillingford Neighbourhood Plan adopted on 20 December 2018.

The independent examination of the Plan Review has now concluded. Take a look at the examiner’s report. The district council now has to consider each of the examiner’s recommendations, before making the final decision on whether the Plan Review should proceed to a referendum.  Further information will be published in due course.

The publicity period on the submitted Neighbourhood Plan Review concluded on Wednesday 11 June 2025. The draft Plan Review documents and comments received during the publicity period have now been submitted for independent examination.
