Recent Consultations and Adoption
We recently consulted on changes to four designated conservation areas: Goring-on-Thames, Preston Crowmarsh, Watlington, and Whitchurch-on-Thames.
The boundary revisions and supplementary planning documents were adopted at Cabinet on Thursday 18 December.

Why do we review conservation areas?
It is a requirement that all councils coordinate and publish appraisals for the preservation and enhancement of conservation areas and that these proposals are reviewed from time to time.
Recent drafts are proposed as Supplementary Planning Documents supporting the heritage policies of the Local Plan. Many of our recent consultations have been reviewed and drafted by Local Interest Groups and the Parish Councils, supported by the Heritage Team. We have a statutory duty to consult the public on the draft documents before they are adopted.
What happens next?
Once the public consultations close, we will review and consider all the comments that have been received.
When the draft documents are ready for formal adoption, this will be done via the Cabinet process.
