Supporting Afghan refugees

As the heartbreaking events continue to unfold in Afghanistan, we’re working together as part of a co-ordinated response effort with Oxfordshire County Council and health and charity partners, to help find suitable accommodation and ensure families and individuals have access to ongoing mental health support, education, food, medicine, and other vital services

For individuals who want to help, whilst Oxfordshire County Council says that donations of items are not currently needed locally but you can make donations to a number of national appeals including the British Red Cross and Asylum Welcome. Further information about the Asylum Welcome appeal can also be found here

In addition, people in Oxfordshire will be able to donate very specific items to support Afghan refugees with the help of an Amazon wishlist that can be set up for that specific purpose.
