The Baldons Neighbourhood Plan

Toot Baldon and Marsh Baldon Parish Councils are jointly working on creating a neighbourhood plan. The process empowers local communities to help direct and shape the way their area grows and develops into the future. A neighbourhood plan will form part of the development plan, which helps to determine planning applications.

What’s Happening Now?

We recently ran a consultation, which concluded on 26 March 2018, inviting the local community and statutory consultees for their comments on the draft neighbourhood plan. We have now submitted the draft plan and responses to this consultation for independent examination.

Take a look at the comments received during the publicity period (656.7 KB) PDF

The Independent Examiner for this plan is Andrew Freeman, of IPE. The role of the examiner is to make recommendations on the draft plan, and ultimately if the plan should proceed to referendum.

The examiner has submitted a clarification note (516.2 KB) PDF to the parish council (17-Apr).

If you want to get involved in the process, please contact your Parish Council. More information on the process is available on our Neighbourhood Plans home page.

If you would like to discuss neighbourhood planning with a member of the team, please call us on 01235 422600 or email planning.policy@southoxon.gov.uk.
