How to contact planning

You do not need to make an appointment to see a Planning Officer as we have a Duty Officer who is available during office hours.  Please bear with us if the Duty Officer is dealing with another customer when you arrive.

Development Control is responsible for:

considering and determining applications for new development or works and the change of use of land/buildings (applications include advertisements, listed buildings, notifications for agricultural or telecommunications development and certificates for lawful use);
giving pre-application advice; and
giving advice on planning queries.
Development Control is divided into two teams - East and West.

The areas covered by each team are shown on our planning service map (see download on the right).
