The BIG Clean Up

In April last year, we embarked on a huge project to tidy up the entire district.  We called it the Big Clean Up and it is on the final leg of its year-journey.

We’re not alone in thinking our picturesque district is at its best when it’s clean and tidy; in a recent survey, two-thirds of South Oxfordshire residents stated that keeping the area clean and litter free was in their top three most important services provided by the council.

The Big Clean Up involves litter-picking, street-sweeping, clearing of gutters, the removal of weeds between pavements and anything else that needs doing to help make the district look spick and span.

When it comes to your area, you will see our waste partners Biffa and their crews out and about wearing their distinctive Big Clean Up hi-visibility jackets, but you shouldn’t face any disruption to your day to day lives.
