Young achievers awards

11-18 year olds living in the district who are achieving in the arts, sports or voluntary services can apply for up to £250 in recognition of their achievements.

Unfortunatley we are reviewing this scheme and will not be opening for applications in 2017/18.

To get an award each young person must have made exceptional achievements in one of the following areas in the last 12 months:

Arts - you should have performed or displayed publicly in the county or further afield in the last year.  Arts activities include music, dance, drama, creative writing, painting, sculpture, photography, video production, multi-media and crafts.

Sports - you should have competed at county level or above in the last year.

Citizenship - you should show outstanding community or voluntary service in South Oxfordshire during the last year.  We can't include work towards qualifications, award schemes (including Duke of Edinburgh, Scouts and Guides), and mandatory or paid community work.

Unfortunately if you've already had two awards from the council (or one award in the case of the citizenship category), you aren't able to apply again.  If you received an award last year, you will not be able to apply this year.

Please contact the grants team (see contact details on this page) if you have any questions or issues.
