Budget consultation for 2013/14
South Oxfordshire District Council asked for your views about how it spends its budget in 2013/14.
Feedback was invited on how you think the Council should prioritise, how the Council should spend funds in these financially uncertain times and whether Council Tax should be frozen or reduced.
The survey included questions about areas where the Council is considering investing more such as sport and leisure, community grants, street cleaning, Cornerstone Arts Centre and housing support. It also covered whether the Council should use powers to change the amount of Council Tax paid on properties such as empty and second homes.
As part of the consultation the Council also carried out a workshop with members of its Residents’ Panel to discuss the issues in depth.

What happens next?
The results of the consultation will be used to inform the budget that the Cabinet puts forward before a final budget is agreed at a Council meeting on Thursday 21 February 2013.
