That the proposal would be contrary to the provisions of the Rural Areas Local
Plan which seeks to maintain and enhance the character of Conservation Areas
(Policy Con1) and to require the scale of new work to be in sympathy with the
established character of the area (Policy Con2). The boathouse would be of
excessive size and visually intrusive and would thereby detract from the
character and visual amenity of the Prseton Crowmarsh Conservation Area.
