Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, by virtue of the extent of external vehicle storage, the increased traffic generation along a quiet country lane and the nature of the activities undertaken within the building, there is considered to be a significant and detrimental impact upon the visual amenity and rural character of the site and its surroundings, which lie within an area of predominantly open countryside and in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  As such, the proposal is considered to be an inappropriate and badly-sited form of commercial development contrary to policies EN1 and EN4 of the Oxfordshire Structure Plan and policies G1, C1, C2, C11, E3, E6 and E9 of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
