Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 5th January 2000
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to the increased height of the proposed buildings and their built form over and above the size of the existing bungalow; to the large area of vehicular hardstanding; to the relationship of the development with the Scheduled Ancient Monument to the rear of the site; and to the inadequate private garden areas which are below the Council's minimum standard, the proposal represents an unacceptable form of overdevelopment of the site which would have a detrimental impact on the setting of the nationally important monument; would be out of keeping with the scale and character of the surrounding area; and would provide insufficient private amenity area for the occupants of the properties. As such the proposal is contrary to policies G8, CON 16 and H11 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
