That, having regard to the form of this linked detached property
and its relationship to the houses on either side, the proposal
to create a first floor extension over the garage would create a
cramped form of development and exacerbate the terracing effect
created by the extension to 60 West End. As such, the proposal
would detract from the character of the existing building and the
visual amenity of the area in general. The proposal also fails to
provide sufficient car parking spaces to meet the Council's standards
for a four bedroom property. As such the proposal would be contrary
to policies G11 and H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
