That, having regard to the size of the two storey extension which
potentially creates a four bedroom house, to its relationship with
the existing extension at 11 Melton Drive, to the proposed window
details and to the provision of parking facilities, the proposal
represents an unacceptable overdevelopment of the site. In particular,
the proposed extension would: create a terracing effect in the street;
lack sufficient parking provision to meet the Council's standards;
and would include windows which do not match the style of those
on the existing house. The proposal would therefore detract from
the character of the area and of the existing building contrary to
Policies G1, G11 and H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
