Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, by reason of the alterations to the fabric and external appearance
of the building and of the subdivision of the internal space by new
walls and floors, the proposal would be detrimental to the structure,
integrity and essentially open character of the listed building.
Furthermore the use of the building as two dwellings would be likely
to result in the subdivision and enclosure of land adjoining the
western side of the building to the detriment of its open setting.  As
such the proposals would be contrary to policies CON 6 and CON 7 of the
adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
