Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development be carried out strictly in accordance with the particulars of the development contained in the application to seek permission for the development and the drawing numbers 9908-1, 9908-13, 9908-8, 9417 2D and 9417 3D accompanying such application, as amended by drawing numbers 9417 2E, 9417 10, 9417 12 and 9417 13 except as modified by conditions of this permission unless otherwise agreed by the Chief Planning Officer in writing. Reason: To ensure the details of the development are carried out in accordance with the amended application as approved.

That development must be begun not later than the expiration of five years beginning with the date hereof. Reason: By virtue of the provisions of Section 91 (1) (a) of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1990.

That the external walls and roofs of the buildings/dwellings be constructed and finished in accordance with a Schedule of Materials which shall first have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Chief Planning Officer. Reason: To ensure the Materials and Finishes are compatible with the surrounding development.

That a sample panel of the external wall finish, not less than 1 metre square, shall be provided on the application site, and approved by the Chief Planning Officer before work to any external walls commences. Reason: To ensure the finishes are compatible with the surrounding development.

That the land be landscaped and planted with trees and shrubs in accordance with a comprehensive planting and landscaping scheme first approved by the Chief Planning Officer and that trees and shrubs so planted be properly maintained and that in the event of any of the trees or shrubs dying or being seriously damaged or destroyed within a period of five years from the completion of the development a new tree or shrub or equivalent number of trees or shrubs as the case may be, be planted and properly maintained in a position or positions first approved by the Chief Planning Officer. Reason: In the interests of the visual amenities of the area and to ensure the creation of a pleasant environment for the development.

That no development shall take place until a professionally competent archaeological organisation, as approved in writing by the Chief Planning Officer in consultation with the County Archaeologist, has been commissioned to carry out a full watching brief during the period of construction works. The watching brief shall preserve by record any archaeological features which may arise in the course of works and shall include limited archaeological excavation where necessary and the retrieval of artefactual evidence. Reason: To safeguard the recording and inspection of matters of archaeological importance on the site.

That the prefabricated classroom to be relocated in the position as shown on drawing number 9908-8 shall at the expiration of a period ending on 31 August 2001 be removed from the land and the land be left in a tidy and orderly state. Reason: In view of the temporary nature development.

Access to the site shall not be used by contractor's traffic between the hours of 8.40 am - 9.10 am, 11.50 am - 12.10 pm and 3.00 pm - 3.45 pm during normal school working days. Reason: In the interests of pedestrian and highway safety.
