Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of five years from the date of this consent. Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990. That samples of the materials to be used for the external walls shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before any development commences. Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory. That samples of the materials to be used for the roof, including samples of the bonnet tiles for the hipped roof, shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before any works commence. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory. That works shall not commence until a detailed specification of the type, design and external finish of all windows, glazing of the orangery roof, external doors and rainwater goods has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory. That the bricks to be used in the external walls shall be laid using Flemish bond. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory. That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to provide protection for the building against the weather during the progress of the works. Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building. That, notwithstanding any indication given in the application, no doorway shall be created from the existing dining room to the orangery hereby approved. Reason: To safeguard the historical and architectural character of the listed building.
