Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 8th September 1999
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development would be contrary to the general, environmental/
countryside policies of the Oxfordshire Structure Plan 2011, particularly
policies G1, G5 and EN4, and the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire
Local Plan, particularly policies G1, G5, C2 and H6. The site lies
in open countryside, within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty and beyond the built up area of any settlement. The proposal
would serve to consolidate this small, isolated and sporadic area of
residential development in the open countryside and would detract from
the character and visual amenity of this part of the Chilterns Area
of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Local Planning Authority does not
consider that there is any justification for a departure from these
policies.
