That having regard to the excessive size and bulk of the proposed
extensions, the proposal would dominate the existing dwelling, fail to
respect its character and appearance, and increase its prominence in the
streetscene.  As such the proposal would represent an intrusive form of
development which would be detrimental to the character and appearance
of the property and the locality which lies within the Chilterns Area
of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  Therefore the proposal would be contrary
to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan,
particularly policies C2 and H12.
