Decision
Refusal of Listed Building Consent on 23rd July 1999
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to the colour, design, materials and spacing of the proposed lettering and the appearance of the signage, that the proposals represent inappropriate and unsympathetic alterations to a grade II listed building which would detract from its character and appearance and would fail to preserve or enhance the character of the Henley-on-Thames Conservation Area. Therefore the proposal would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G13, CON8 and CON12.
