Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to its design, siting and massing, the proposal
would constitute an inappropriate and incongruous form of development
that would be out of keeping with the immediate surroundings and would
result in an overwhelming and over dominant relationship with the
neighbouring buildings and the site as a whole. Therefore the
proposed dwelling would not be an acceptable infill development of the
site, especially in terms of its massing and design, which do not
reflect the characteristics and scale of the existing dwellings.
Therefore the proposal would be contrary to the provisions of the
Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies
G8, C2, H5 and H18, and the general advice contained within Planning
Policy Guidance Note 1 "General Policy and Principles".
