Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 8th September 1999
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development is contrary to the General, Countryside/Environmental and Recreational policies of the OCC Structure Plan, particularly policies G1, EN1 and EN4 and the Council's South Oxfordshire Local Plan particularly, policies G1, C1, C2 and R4. Having regard to the provision of portacabins and permanent structures associated with the paintball games, to the disturbance and level of activity associated with the use in this quiet woodland area within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the proposal results in an incongruous and unacceptable form of development, detracting from the visual amenity and quiet countryside character of the area. That the local road network is, by way of its geometry, unsuitable to serve the development and would result in unacceptable levels of congestion detrimental to the free flow of traffic.
