Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of
five years from the date of this consent.
Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and
Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
That the materials to be used for the external walls of the new
conservatory and fernery shall be of the same colour, type and texture
as those used on the existing lily house, and shall be laid in an
identical bond, with a traditional lime mortar mix.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory.
That notwithstanding the details which accompany the application no
works shall begin until full details of the proposed ventilation for
the new conservatory and swimming pool have been submitted to and
approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory.
That all work of making good the walls of the Lilly House shall be
finished to match the existing in respect of type, size, colour,
pointing, coursing, jointing, profile and texture.
Reason: In the interests of safeguarding the character and appearance
of the original building.
That prior to the commencement of works, a sample panel of the external
dwarf walling materials to be used shall be erected on site, approved
in writing by the Local Planning Authority, and kept on site for
reference until the development is completed.
Reason: In the interests of safeguarding the character and appearance
of the listed building.
That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such
steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the
safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to
provide protection for the building against the weather during the
progress of the works.
Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building.
