That having regard to the inappropriate size and details of its design,
the proposed retractable blind would detract from the character and
appearance of 37 Market Place as a Grade II listed building and would
fail to preserve or enhance the character and appearance of the
Henley-on-Thames Conservation Area. As such, the proposal would
be contrary to the advice in PPG15 and the provisions of the Council's
adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policy CON 13.
