That having regard to the size, shape and location of the garage, the
development would be over dominant, resulting in a cramped form of
development, which detracts from the visual amenities of the street
scene, and neither preserves nor enhances the character of the Conservation
Area. Furthermore, having regard to the size, design, shape and
location of the porch, the development would be over-dominant and
detract from the character of the existing dwelling. The proposal
would therefore be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted
South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G8, CON8 and CON10.
