The proposed extension will destroy the important symmetrical balance
of this attractive terrace of dwellings which are prominently positioned
in the Aston Rowant Conservation Area. As such the proposal fails
to preserve or enhance the character of the Conservation Area contrary
to Policies Con 8 and Con 10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local
Plan.
The proposed extension by virtue of its form, scale and bulk would
detract from the character of this symmetrical terrace of dwellings
and as such would be contrary to Policy H12 of the adopted South
Oxfordshire Local Plan.
