The converted chapel is an attractive building that plays an important
role in the Conservation Area streetscape, and the original form of the
building can clearly be seen.  This proposal to add a bulky and
prominent first floor extension would totally change the simple plan
form of the building and give it an inappropriate residential character.
The proposals would, therefore, severely detract from the original
character of the building and would neither preserve nor enhance the
appearance of the Moreton Conservation Area, contrary to policies
CON8 and CON10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
