Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 23rd August 1999
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposals would be contrary to policy G4 of the Oxfordshire Structure Plan and policies GB2, C3 and H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and Government Guidance in PPG2 - Green Belts. Having regard to the substantial increase in the height of the roof, the extensive alterations and to the prefabricated nature of the existing bungalow, the proposals are considered to be tantamount to the erection of a new dwelling on the site which lies within the Oxford Green Belt and an Area of Great Landscape Value. The proposals therefore represent an inappropriate form of development which are by definition harmful to the rural character and open nature of the Oxford Green Belt.
