That the proposal would be contrary to policies G1, G2 and H1 of the
Oxfordshire Structure Plan 2011 and policies G1, G8 and H6 of the
adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan. The erection of a dwelling
within the garden of Acorn Lodge would consolidate the loose knit
development along this side of Tetsworth Road to the detriment of the
rural character and appearance of the area. The size of the site
is such that the proposed development would create a cramped form
of development which would detract from the rural character of the
area which backs on to open farmland.
