Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 9th June 1999
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposal would be contrary to policies Con 10 and H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan. Having regard to the size and bulk of the proposed extensions, which would increase the height of the original dwelling by 1.3 metres, the proposal would be both prominent and intrusive and detract from the character and appearance of this part of the Kingston Blount Conservation Area. In addition, the proposed two storey side extension would result in the loss of a gap between Nidd House and Pine Cottage, detracting from the character of the street scene and appearing as an overdevelopment of the site.
